¡Week 1! Chapter 1-3
This is my second entry in which I'm gonna talk about the chapters one to three of Brave New World, in terms of the setting. First, the most important fact, about time, is that the story is placed in year 632 A.F. and that Huxley mentions they started counting since the introduction of the T-model, it means, it was year 0. In relation to time, the history is a controversial topic in the book, the World Controllers mention history as useless information, "History is bunk" said by the Controller (Pg 29, Brave New World, A. Huxley). The society and the Controllers don't like history or religion because both of them are dangerous and corrupting. If people start to take into account the past, they would be out of the present time and would want to change several things of the present, so is a problem for them.
